There is one hitch available for a 1998 Ranger, Curt # 31019. The skid shield would need to be removed and it will not fit Canadian built 2WD models. We have a note on that hitch about not fitting models with a front cross-member. I'm not sure what that's about. You can determine if it was US or Canadian built either on the build sticker in the door sill or checking the VIN.
