Default My 98 ranger vulcan build

Hey guys I been working on my 98 xlt ranger with a vulcan 3.0. My primary goal was to blow doors off the honda single cam guys, ive accomplished this so I thought I would share my.build.

First thing when I bought the truck it needed valves nearly accross the board so.I.bought a cheap set of heads off ebay, then immediately ported them
I did a lot of bowl and combustion chamber work as well as opened the pprys up as big as I could. Lol I kno loss of torque but imho there was enough to.spare for tpp end gains, the heads have conical springs and 7mm valve stems, after some intake porting top.and.bottom I installed the heads. Not too long later 2nd gear broke I then pulled apart the trans and rebuilt it using 4.0 gears. I liked the change in gear ratios especially with the 3.70 gears. Still running stock tune i.saw a good.increase in power. And mileage. A year later the power steering pump failes. I figure 200$ in parts for rack and lines and pump. Instead I took an idler pulley off a f150 attached to the bracket for the pump, deleted the ac and bow I have a power steering and ac delete. This made a huge difference in torque and hp. Now the truck.will spin first gear chirp second and roar up the gears to. Speed limiter. Im very proud of.my.lil 3.0 its fairly quick I have a megasquirt 3 im assembling then a turbo will be installed. As well as.a custom cam after I have the heads flow.benched and some forged pistons. Also will be balanced and running a dual fuel setup. Let me know what you guys think. Sanborn out
