I've got the 1/2" DeWalt impact and it's been a good tool for me. But the rest of my bigger cordless tools are DeWalt so it made more sense to me to go with DeWalt.
My brother in law had the Milwaukee and has had a good experience with it so far. Uses his tools day in and day out, I just use mine on auto and farm equipment repair.
