I hear you. When I was 25 I worked in a juvenile detention facility as a relief officer. The kids there didn't know what a C note was. When I said a Benjamin Franklin, one of them was like "Aw, he be talking about Bennies, yo!" And when I hear bennies, I think of benefits. Like the job has full bennies. There was also white kid skater slang at the time that was hundy. Hard to feel manly when you say "I bought that for 2 hundy. New they're usually 5 hundy, or more, so I got a great deal man!" Now the ghetto slang for $100 is a band or a rack. Or maybe a rack is $1000. Never really was around them enough to get the difference, and it seems to be interchangeable in certain situations.
