I abuse my truck off-road and i still have my factory lower ball joints. Mines a 2007 with 153,000 miles, I'd say the Ford joints do the trick.
Not really much to it, just replace the lower joints with the ones they sell at Ford, or Moog joints.

Just beware of knockoff-crap brands. The little rubber boot that protects them are held together with a cheap little metal ring and the boot slips off very quickly. Once that happens, water, mud, dirt and snow will make its way up in there = bye bye ball joint.
