Name's Dustin. Own a 97 dark blue ext cab 4 banger 4 speed.

Got the truck a couple months ago and love it. Got a message from a guy on myspace to join the forums and well, here I am.

No major mods except dirt and mud. Took the baffling out of the intake, put autolite plugs in, switched to synthetic fluids all around, except for the motor oil. Put valvoline max life synthetic blend in there. Got a sony ipod head unit and switched all the stock speakers for eclipse 3 ways. Put in a python alarm system.

Things to do next are:
Get a new cat, it's not bad, but 180k cat can't be good.
Not sure if the timing belt was ever changed, but it's about 60k past due if it wasn't.
Figure out what the hell the tapping noise is coming from the top end of the engine is. Started about 2 weeks ago. Can't quite figure out were it's coming from. Doesn't really sound like a valve sticking or the ac compressor. I have no clue on that one.
