It depends on the type of 302 you want to put in it. The old 302's like in the Foxbody Mustangs are modular so the cylinders are at 45 degree angles. It is possible put one of those in your Ranger, but it requires tons of pounding out walls. The v6's in the Ranger already are non modular, so the cylinders are at a 60 degree angle. But the new alluminum 302's that are in the 2011 Mustangs are non modular so I can imagine they would fit in a Ranger. I'm currently saving for a race vehicle and I'm planning on a 2wd regular cab Ranger and want to drop a 302 in it.
