I am installing a JVC hdr40 cd player using a crutchfield custome wire harness. no amp, only cd player and 2 door speakers.

Question:

out of the custom wiring harness is a black wire for the chassis ground.
another wire coming from the custom harness is a Black wire with white stripe labeled signal ground.

Out of the JVC harness is only one black wire for chassis ground.

The JVC harness does not have a signal ground wire.

Am I supposed to connect all those 3 wires together??


Crutchfield's instructions don't say anything about this.

Please help ASAP!!

Note. I currently have black to black wired together. Do I simply tape of the signal ground black with white stripe out of the custom harness and not connect it to anything??
