Nice center console! I'll eventually build one as well to fit a CB Radio, small center compartment and two cup-holders. I'm not enjoying the $10 plastic cup-holders/CD holder obstructing my bench seat.

Mounted under my soon-to-be radio and vent controls and to have enough room so my hand doesn't strike the panel. It locks into place with a steel bracket that clips over the ash-tray bracket; just remove the ash-tray and lift the tab and I put a hinge on it so the switches are easily accessible. No power to the panel yet. Black wire is the ground. Waiting for the two fuse blocks to be delivered. Going to mount those behind the glove-box, which I got the idea from a member here Futurefd.
