I am having the same exact problem with my 2001 2.5. I hooked up a scanner and thought my coolant temp sensor was climbing too fast, but after replacement it made no difference. I have had a mechanic at work look at it and he thinks it's a vacuum leak, but I'm having no luck finding one. Have you found anything yet.
