I don't know what *aftermarket* means; if it means a rebuilt A4LD (the OEM tranny to your vehicle as opposed to a real and genuine aftermarket unit meaning someone installed a non-OEM tranny)then let it be known that the A4LD was not exactly famous for being tough. The LD, that means, light duty. Good luck on the valve cleaning, do post results!
