Going to paint that horrible chrome to a decent color (flat black) but i want to do it right and i know if improperly prepped can flake right off. im going to sand the chrome down and use TSP trisodium phosphate to clean it. the TSP etches the surface on its own which brings me to my question, do i have to use an etching primer if the TSP already etches it or can i go straight to normal primer?
