Had my Ranger for a few months now and slowly sorting through the 'niggles'. Current one is no glow plug illumination on the dash when ignition is switched on. Removed the instrument panel to check the lamp only to discover it was missing! Grrrrrr....... so fitted one only to discover that it starts flashing when engine has warmed up??? trawled the internet and discovered shorting out between 'ten' and 'gnd' shows a flashing fault code on the glow plug light on the dash. Code would appear to be 1189 and i believe this to be a 'pump speed signal fault' however there is no performance issues and if i had not discovered the lamp was removed i would never have know. Any advice please???? I would prefer to fix the fault but how???? Thanks
