Is there any electronic tuner like bullydog or anything out there for a 1992 Ford Ranger 2.9 v6

Nope

Waste of time & $.
A 2.9 will never be a powerful engine

If you really want power swap in a 5.0

I don't know if I've ever seen a handheld tuner made for a pre-OBDII vehicle.

What do you think about going from the 2.9 v6 5 speed to a ego boost with a t6

Eco boost would be difficult swap because of all the sensors & electronics
Anything is possible if you throw enough time & money at it
Would be curious - don't think it has ever been done

you can build a pretty stout 2.9l on a MAF system, but as far as tuning goes on the original EEC-IV system, while it can adapt to "mild" changes, you're pretty limited when it comes to bolt-ons and changing the original programming in the computer
