Default Plz help!?! Truck Wont start!!

So, Im in need of some help. Every time i go to start my truck, the starter relay clicks. But my truck wont turn over at all. I tried jumping the the relay by putting a screwdriver over the two terminals. And the starer still didnt kick on. I tested the battery, it read 12.2V. Could it be my battery still? Do i need to replace the starter? I have graveyard shift tonight. I gotta get it fixed ASAP

Start with the battery cables, clean both ends of both cables, make sure their tight.

It's the battery. 12.2 is very low.

How many amps should the battery read? I have a multi meter. A cheap one at that. And how would i fix that? Charge? Jump it and let it run? New battery?

You read volts, not amps. Amps is a measure of flow, not capacity. And 12.2 is discharged too low.

I don't know why you haven't tried jump starting it yet. That will probably get you going. But the next question is why the battery died. It could just be at the end of it's life. Or you left some lights on. Or it could be that your alternator isn't working. None the less, you need to charge it or jump start it before you can get anywhere else.
