Well here it is. I want a posi for my rear cuz when it rains I can wipp it and have fun until one wheel wonder and ya know. Well I was at the junk yard and theres Gen 1 stx ranger with posi 8.8 and was wondering would it be a direct swap in?

It should but don't go by what I say. It has been my experience that there is always something goofy when swapping parts out. I would just pull the locker and swap it. I want a posi too.

Pretty much, yay. As long as you are the same on the perch plates, shouldn't be a problem. I would measure the width from spring to spring to make sure it bolts right in. But only because you have an 88 and I'm not sure if the frames where narrower.

Also check the driveshaft yolk
