OK you'll love this one
When I previously replaced the in tank fuel pump I failed to completely seal the flange to the top of the tank... So I had water in the fuel because I have a flat bed the rain water ran between the boards and got to the top of the tank

I pulled the boards out of the flat bed pulled the fuel pick-up assembly and sucked the fuel out of the tank

Put new fuel in with a bottle of HEET

Runs fine again

Made sure the pick-up was well sealed this time (probably be sorry if I ever have to pull it again)

Gotta love the unexpected

No the gas is as good or bad as anywhere else.
If you let water into your gas tank with ethanol fuel it breaks down really fast (like 10-12 hours)

So the lesson is pay attention when you open your fuel tank and make sure it is well sealed when you get done

This was a self-induced problem that should have never happened
