Fuel Pump?
I purchased a 87 ranger from someone who said when they bought it, that it has some fuel issues but they got it all squared away.
after a week of driving it fine, it started leaking gas horribly - upon investigation found out it was the Fuel Reservoir leaking (previous owner had patched it with some epoxy just good enough to sell it to me, ass) - ordered the part online, and put it in. Ran fine for a day, then died on me about 3 miles from home the following day.
Started up after awhile and drove home, now it wont start.
When I hit the key, you can hear/feel the relays clicking for the pumps, however I do not hear it prime like it used to, guessing its the low pressure one in the tank that i could hear before doing this. It doesnt start im guessing since its not pumping.
Checked the lil box on the passenger floor, that isnt tripped, and even tried bypassing it with the wires, and like i said the relays are clicking.
So just confirming, before i start trying to drop the tank and going through all that pain... should i do that, or should i check something else instead, (filter, high pressure pump, etc, etc)
this truck has been a pain, but i need it to run.
ive read a handfull of posts on this, i need a sending unit to possibly?
