Default 85' ranger White Smoke

So I have an 85' Ranger 2.8L carborated that has recently started pushing white smoke and not because its cold outside, its 82 degrees out today. It started coming out of the exhaust and it is thick, like a smoke screen. the engine starts and idles and runs like its not having any trouble at all. Any Ideas??

If its smoking as much as you make it sound, there should be enough antifreeze in a cylinder to keep it from turning over. Check the radiator coolant level, and feel if the top hose gets rock hard in just a few seconds of running.

compression test, sounds like your rings are fried if it doesn't go away after start up. sometimes plug condition will give away which cylinder is burning oil. something could have gone wrong in re-assembly, shit happens.
