Thanks for the quick reply. If it is just the slide-out setup, that will save me so much time!

95+ should be the only ones that require dash removal.

Just finished replacing it, and it was indeed easy on my '88. Sure enough the old heater core was pretty messed up. Now to get that antifreeze film off the windshield so it doesn't fog, and I'll have a happy fall/winter.

I know I'm adding to a very old thread here but I'm having that same exact problem in my 88 2.0 liter. The thing is tho I just had the radiator semi-flushed the other day because the guy at the shop didn't want to do a full flush on an old rusty radiator. But I didn't have the condensation and vent smoking problem before and now I do. Do you think he could have caused this?

Hi, can anybody help me. I have the same problem as in this thread. My truck is a Mazda B2500 Twincab. I am reluctant to take the dash off. I don't mind getting my hands dirty but have no real mechanical knowledge so would be scared in case I couldn't put it back together again properly. I think I should bypass the heater core while I think about it. I'm not sure though, which hoses to disconnect. I have two hoses above the engine, kind of central. They are about a foot apart. Then I have 2 other hoses, one above the other, about 3 or 4 inches apart. These two are over to the right (as you look at it). One also has some kind of tap on it. Which pair should I be joining?

Thanks.

Look up your truck on the internet, they almost always have diagrams and pictures of the cooling system
A picture is worth a thousand words
