Default 86 2.9 help with crank sensor location

Having issues with my 86 Ranger 4x4 manual 2.9

Someone suggested the crank sensor as the culprit & to look near the front of the motor near the harmonic ballancer.
I can't find anything there except what I think is the oil pressure sending unit.

So does anyone know if this truck even has a crank sensor?

And, can you tell me what the sensor is that is screwed in to the block on the drivers side right above the starter. It has three wires that goes up to the driver inner fender where it mounts in a gray connector, then into the wiring harness.

Thanks for any help.
