I would start first by fixing the known issues; this is going to totally throw off your diagnostics. Out of curiousity, why was the engine rebuilt? Lean condition? Has the fuel filter been replaced in a reasonable amount of time? Last tune up?

But I think getting what you know that isn't right taken care of, clear the CM codes, then move on there from there pulling KOEO, CM, and KOER from the computer. Fuel pressure tester would be helpful here too.

There's a ground tucked back there too, I think it's an orange wire, make that that is connected and also make sure that the engine and chasis is getting a good ground also.

i bought a used rebuilt engine put in cause the old engine i found out after pulling it out and removing the pan parts of the piston in the bottom of the pan but yah i need to get that o2 sensor hooked up and now that i think of it there might be some grounds unhooked i didnt put the engine in myself this time so im kinda disapoint that they didnt take care of it. i have check the fuel presure and i pretty sure it was ok. I have also replace the fuel filter to so thanks for the advise ill let you know what i figure out

Your Ranger only has 2 digit codes.

The 1 in front of the 22 could have the separator pulse between KOEO and CM codes when you ran the diagnostics.

MAP is not so easy to test...

Verify that the vacuum line is good running to it; no cracks, etc. Check engine vacuum also - that could affect MAP readings.

I am leaning on the side of "I doubt it", but I don't know if that is what causing the issue or not. It can be cleaned in some circumstances, just make sure the gasket is not leaking vacuum if you re-use it.

so i also put a used map and have been trying to drive it and seemed to be runing better then it started to act up again so i pulled the fuel filter of and the gas that came out was green so i replaced it and drove it still act up a little bit but seems to be getting better. hoping its just got to work all the old gas out. Ive been wonder if the pump could be causing it though to it dosnt do it untill ive been driveing a while could the pump just be geting hot and weak???? any input would be awsome thanks!!
