Default tune up?

kay well i know my truck need's a tune up bad!.

how long can i go with out one? and from what it looks i can only do a few of the plugs myself the others i cant get to.

So how much would a tune up cost? considering they have to remove part's just to get to the plugs... I heard it would cost about 600 which sound's way to much!

It depends on the shop for the rates and labor. It should be done every 50k I believe for your truck

yeah, I bought the truck over a year ago. But i don't know when the last tune up was.. But i know my truck run's horrible right now.

But now that I'm taking my auto tech class at school, hopefully i can get it worked on.

it need's new ball joints, clutch, tune up, starter, and I'm unsure but I believe it's burning oil or running hot. So have to figure that out and hopefully fix it too.

thanks for your reply.

check your valve covers the gasket on their tends to dry up and start to leak at least on most the ones ive seen they have its cheap fix dosent take too long and you should be able to change all the spark plugs without removing any part if you have ac you will have to disconnect the bracket that hold the a/c line to the back of the upper intake to get all the wires changed out and the cap an rotor but you shouldnt need to remove anything
