Default Wallow

Hi
My '89, 2.9, 4x4 seems to wallow between the first couple of shifts when accelerating from a stop. This is specially evident when turning is involved. Is this torque related?!?

Any ideas?

I Checked out the leaf spring bushings and there is no obvious problem.
Shook the bed and couldn't detect any sloppiness or malfunction. The shackles and mounts seemed ok too. Unless there are subtle problems that I cannot detect, the problem must lie with the worn shocks. The passenger rear has obviously been leaking and all the shocks calm down slowly after exercising them.
have to wait and see. . .
