Re: Help! Need to change accessory belts on 1990 2.9L
now i went to change all my belts to start with the rest are easy n ol'school simple but my air/cond belt has to come off first and it don't look simple realized theres like 10 bolts holding the whole unit front and behind it has a pivot point but theres a back bolt just underneath compressor has to come out i didn't have long enough or sturdy good wrenches to do this far as i can tell you have to remove every bolt completely take compressor off then other belts come off accordingly to reatach comp- put in pivot bolts first then tension bolts tention belt correctly then last remaining bolts torked down my opinion
that is if you have air conditioning some 2.9l didn't have it they were aftermarket compressor units.
