Nit picking on these forums is how problems are solved. On the other side Saying "ma truck don't work" is not helpful.

So is there a air hole in the filler neck you can enlarge? I say this guessing as I have never seen a filler neck but sounds like to me it somehow needs a vent like a toilet does...

It's the same symptoms, but the problems are likely going to be different because the EVAP systems are different. If you can't understand that, then I don't know what to tell you. If you want to solve the problem with your specific year, you need to post where it's relevant. You made a mistake posting here and call me a nit-picky little bitch(?) These details matter, your truck is in no way similar to the trucks that pertain to this forum. I can't think of a single reason why in the world you would post that here, people that know your truck better are not going to be frequenting this forum as much. The 2.9L has been obsolete for a long time now.

I know some of the "off topic" guys who call me the "forum a$$wipe", (you know who you are) will come out flaming, but it has been my experience that Noob's who come out whining and complaining specifically about not wanting to be detail oriented will never solve their issue here.

A lot of people in the "clicks" on this forum post so much misinformation it makes my head feel like it's going to explode sometimes.

So Pete you picked up on the clicks here too...If your name is such and such you get a zillion replies you see a noob with a name like Bob C. of Indiana read my post and find a way to put me down or find fault then move on..Not necessarily everyone but just the clickers...Most of the noobs are nicer than the chosen few who think they run this group...What is a forum anyway I thought it was friendly discussion of all types of topics...Even if you are right on a topic you will still get put down by the clicks and chosen few..By the way OP sorry to hijack your original thread...Bob C.

I agree. There is definitely 2 different schools of thought going on in these forums. I am of the school that says, be organized, be specific, details are the backbone of solving the issues. If that makes me the "forum a$$wipe" I am happy with that.

I used to always be pushing the noob to create a detailed signature. I even got an infraction for doing it, however it serves 2 good purposes 1) It helps members solve the issue. 2) it makes the noob actually go out and find out the details of their truck. They learn about their truck.

I have this problem sometimes in the expy and the ranger. Its always the curve of the nozzle on the pump. I just simply pull it out a fuzz or change the angle and it works.

I think its just layed up against the filler and the pressure from the fuel coming out kinda back-flows up the nozzle, tripping the saftey feature that stops the gas from pumping.
