Default A/C orifice tube

Does anyone know where to put this dang thing? I can't find it.....I think it goes near the accumulator.....

Looks like in your truck "The orifice tube in your vehicle slides into the evaporator core."

look in the bottom metal tube coming out of the heater/ac box and there should be a red thing stuck it in just pull it out and replace it

not totally sure on that because i when i did mine i had replaced the AC compressor too and i think that line is pressurized with freon. So you may have to do a evap recovery on your ac system then replace orfice tube and then recharge system...IF i were you i would go ahead and replace the dryer/receiver also...its the black canister with the two metal line mounted on the firewall, and its only about $45 from any parts store.
