Default 4.0l heads on a 2.9l block?

Hi, I found out that I have 2 cracked heads on my 2.9l. I found some good 2.9l heads for $50 so I'll just put them in, But I've heard of someone putting 4.0l heads on a 2.9. Is this possible, if so are the 4.0 heads less prone to cracking? thanks for any info.
Roadkill.

4.0l is a bored and stroked 2.9l im not sure if the heads bolt into the same spot but i would recomend against it because it will change your compression and what air fuel mix you need

I read on another forum from a respected member that the heads are interchangeable. But they have to change sides. I.E. passenger to driver, driver to passenger. Just to make sure because I'm not for sure, but make sure the casting numbers match. It should be 86TM. Hope this helps.
