Default No power to i tank fuel pump

I have a 1987 with a 2.9l. Bought a new fuel pump for the tank but it’s not getting any power. Replaced relay and checked pump to make sure it worked any replies are welcome. I’m stumped

The inline pump is working just not the one in the tank. Where could it be fused at, and would that still be an issue with the other one working?

I don't happen to have the wiring diagrams for your truck, but it is not unreasonable to think they might have separate fuses. Something I would check before throwing parts at it. You could always pull the harness and check at the plug. Since it is not running I am sure you won't find power, your search is really for that why. Until you know that the two share a fuse, I would suspect that they have individual ones. It is the simplest solution, so you should eliminate it first.

You can find the original owners manual online which will have the fuse locations and diagrams. I agree with OG biker, find and check the fuses and relays first. If the fuses and relays are good see if you have power at the fuses/relays.

Ok hello, all found the issue, no power to the inertia switch. How on earth do I remedy that issue? The relay is new, so not sure that would be the cause. But I don't have a clue on how to fix this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated as always.

No power to it? Or it is tripped? If there is no power to it, get a wiring diagram and start tracing. Start with fuses. And new doesn't equal functioning, test it and check it if you need to to verify it.
