Default SPOUT Connector

I just replaced my headgasket. Engine is put back together and timing is set. Engine runs fine with the SPOUT connector removed. Runs rough with surging and a miss, then stalls with the SPOUT connector hooked up. This is a 1991 ford ranger 2.9 liter. Does anybody have any advice?

Default Re: SPOUT Connector

This morning i ensured allnplug wires were firmly seated. Unplugged the spout connector. Turned on truck. Checked timing and found it off a couple of degrees. Will fix it tomorrow. Unplugges spout commector and started truck. Turned it off and connected spout connector and it runs fine now. I think im goig to put in new plug wires tomorrow also.
