Dont know what to do

Have a 88 2.9 that will not start I have fire I have fuel I have check timing I have put in a new computer the fuel pumps are coming on only way I can get the truck to start is put a computer in it from a 92 2.3 ranger

check for water in fuel tank by siphoning some from bottom of tank . It's worth checking.

fuel pressure should be 30 to 40 lbs.
