well i havent had my ranger long and i went to move it tonite and the throttle felt wierd so i reved it up a lil and she went wide open and i had no control over the gas. and now the gas pedal feels really lose and is basicly to the floor board. and well it does nothing lol. tips and info on how to fix it.? i havent had a chance to look at it yet it got dark. so i thought i would ask on here. oh and by the way its a 88 4x4 with a 2.9.

Pull off the top cover of the upper intake where the throttle connects to the throttle body, check to make sure the cable is right. Check where it comes out the firewall, check where it connects to the actual pedal itself.

If I were to guess, it is most likely jammed up at the throttle body.
