Default Dead skip in my 2.9

My 86 ranger has a dead skip in it. It also is really sluggish under a load. I'm pretty sure it's the fuel injectors. Am I right or is it somethig else?

It has a brand new coil pack new wires new plugs. New fuel filter . Cold cranks every time but sometimes when it's warmed up it acts like it's flooding

fuel reglator working?
if you havnt change the cap and rotor, i would do so, perhapes something isnt working, a point broke off or something nad its not firing on that cylinder. its like 15-20 bucks to change. then atleast you can say you changed all that without going to the distrubtor itself or the TFI

Actually the injectors are fairly easy to pull but they rarely fail
I would look at the electrical side first
Check the fuel pressure
Check the compression
Before I replace the injectors, at $50 each that gets expensive quick

any auto store or big department store with a auto section has them. or get one on ebay for 30$

the injectors are super easy to pull. undo the top manifold. take it off and put it to the side (its 6 bolts to the lower manifold) then the front 2 injectors have 1 bolt by the injectors and 1 on the side on the. middle 2 have nothing, and back 2 same thing. so 4 bolts, and then, slowly wiggle it back and forth. since they are put in on a angle, eventually they will come free, all still attached to the rail.. but yeah. its probably not them.

just tape and mark what ever you take off. you will want to replace the plenum gasket if you take the upper off, it will be flattened and brittle, and will more than likely leak if you re-use it. you will not have to re-set throttle (in fact never try to), the cable just pops off the ball on the TB. vasoline on injector o-rings helps getting them back in. release pressure in fuel system before you pull the rail.

really ought to do some diagnostics before you start replacing stuff that you're not sure is broken. a lot of times playing the guessing game, paying the 300 for a shop diagnostics might have seemed like a better idea said and done...

It's not the fuel pressure not the fuel filter. and it's not the destr. Not the plugs, not the plug wires, not the coil, took the throttle body off and has so much gunk built up in it. So I'm gonna go with injectors. What do y'all think

I think you will be spending a lot of money without doing the needed troubleshooting
You will just be replacing parts not knowing if that is actually the problem

I bought my fuel pressure tester at Cost less auto supply for $16 and my compression tester for $25
If you want to spend money spend it on tools that will save you money

Not normally
A bad O2 sensor usually shows up as continually running rough or really bad gas mileage
