Default charging system gotta be but what?

Okay so I might of messed up when I didn't get the WHOLE wiring harness but still... I got rid of the 4 cyl. and transmission and put a 2.9 and tranny in my truck. Finally got all electrical figured out (kinda but thats another day) to where I can drive it. YIPEE!!! But now my charging system ain't charging I went and had it tested at O'Riley's and they said get new voltage regulator. I did and hooked it up and thought for a second it was all better, I was mistaken. I can drive my truck but only during the day and with no radio etc. any ideas?

You missed a wire somewhere. Time to get a multimeter & a wiring diagram and start at the alternator then follow the diagram until you find what's missing
This one will be interesting
When you do find it you will wonder why you missed something so obvious (been there, done this on another truck)
