Default Leaking clutch master cylinder

Hi I'm new here, to let you know I'm not a professional mechanic. I know quite a bit about the topic but everyone needs help. So I changed the clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder, and master cylinder on my 1990 xlt 2.3L 5spd. Everything mached up good, but when I got to bleeding the hydraulic lines the master cyl. was spitting out fluid. On the old cyl. I didn't notice if it possibly had a rubber ring in it for a seal. The hydraulic line has a metal nipple on the end that plugs in and then you slide in a lock pin to hold it to the master cylinder. Or do you think I got a faulty part from the store? I've been waiting for this truck to be finished for a long time so any help is much appreciated.
