Re: Timing Belt
I emailed Ford about the same question;
Thank you!
Your vehicle has a timing chain which does not have a mileage interval for
replacement. Normally you would not need to replace the timing chain unless
a failure occurs.

************Describe Your Vehicle************
Year: 2001
Make: Ford
Model: Ranger
Mileage: 244,000
Transmission: Auto
Engine: 3.0 V6
Comments: Timing chain(or belt), was wondering roughly how
much it would cost to replace. It's not broken, but I'm not sure when the
last time in was changed, and I don't want it to snap on me.
(my cell is not working at the moment, sorry)
