Just a final update, to make sure no one reads this and wonders how it turned out. The final issue was the high pressure hose coming off of the power steering pump. After replacing that the leak is gone! Not sure if I need to do anything to make the "new" pump stop whining but honestly I don't care since it works. I'll continue to check the fluid level and hope that any air in the system works it's way out.
