I had another thought occur to me. Check your phone book for anyone that might rewire electrical motors. Give them a call and see if they have a "megger" (megaohm) meter.

That's a high voltage ohm meter. I bet they wouldn't charge you to check your coil packs. It would only take a few seconds to check each one.

Take a box of doughnuts or something with you. It never hurts to show a little appreciation.
