It sounds to me like your coil pack is ok, as far as resistance is concerned. It could always arc at the higher voltages, but that might not show up with a multimeter.
You need a special meter to test it at higher voltages. They are too expensive for the casual mechanic.
Personally, I would look elsewhere for your problem.
