A tripod is a given. A good tripod is even better. Then you either need a cable release or remote release so you don't wiggle the camera. Set your apreture wide open & slow the shutter accordingly. Use spot metering. Read the brighter areas & then the darker areas, then set it accordingly. ISO shouldn't be lower than 400 & not much higher if you can keep from it.
