Your truck uses an EGR Valve Position sensor, EVP. This is how the computer can tell if the EGR Valve opens far enough. It is unlikely that the EVP is bad. In my case (I have a 93 withthe same set up) I replaced both the EGR valve and the EVP. CEL went away

Your truck does use a DPFE sensor and they are known to have problems.
