I have done a few frame swaps on 98 and newer rangers.Of course your gonna get a nice frame so you will want to paint it. I use rustoleum in a hplv gun. You might want to also consider undercoating the back half of the frame and replacing all the brake lines. You could do a 4wd conversion but you will need a 99 or 2000 wiring harness(you could also add power options if the new harness has the wires), probably better to get whole parts truck if you go that route. If your frame's rusted out your radiator support probably is too. Also your emergency brake cables. Front bed supports also rust out alot.
