please help an old member! my exhaust is rusting out! I don't have money to replace it, so I'd like to just remove everything after the cats. (no muffler, or tailpipe) I cannot do the work myself and the damned shops all say it's illegal for them to remove the muffler, although since the muffler has holes in it and the connections are rusted thru, the sound won't be all that different, once removed. I'd like to find someone who isn't bound by legalities of the state and who can just cut off the muffler and existing tailpipe.
any help for this old member?
