Well, I'm not sure why you did all that stuff since none of it has anything to do with a bank too lean condition. And none of those things you did require disconnecting the battery.
The lean condition I guarantee you is a vacuum leak. Behind the intake manifold under the ignition wires there are several vacuum lines. One of them is cracked and leaking. It's common and causes that condition.
When you disconnect the battery, it resets everything the computer has learned about idle. It has to relearn it which takes time. That combined with your vacuum leak is probably making it worse.
