if you buy a extract 'kit', then it comes with the yeast packet. it's under the cap that snaps over the top of the can.
BUT, if you buy only a can of unhopped extract, it will not come with yeast.
actually yeast is cheap. you can get a packet for around a dollar. i bought a ten pack of champagne yeast off of amazon for like $9 shipped haha! came in the mail box.

haha! yeah, imma try to make some meade like that - just honey, sugar, yeast, water, all together in a few plastic 2 liter jugs haha! oh, with air locks...
but yeah, it's cheap & easy. you just leave it in the closet or wherever & forget about it until it's done! haha!
