Okay so my 2001 ford ranger has the standard button 4wd switch. When i put it in 4wd it seems to slip and it makes a grinding noise when the gas is pressed. Sounds like a card in a bicycle wheel. Is this hard to fix? Could I do it myself or is this above the average person. I am pretty good at fixing mechanical equipment. Any idea on cost for a mechanic to fix if it is to complicated?
