Any loud noises heard for an extended amount of time or over a long period of time won't be good. However, it's my understanding that higher frequencies are more dangerous to hearing than low frequencies. Obviously when heard at high volume, mids and highs (at least for me) are more painful than lows. This pain might in turn warn the body that higher frequencies are more damaging than lows.
