I ended up popping the rivets out and taking it apart as I thought it was broke anyway. The 2-3 discs (I'm assuming they're used as resistors) were broke on the inside (Wasn't from me popping rivets). I'm just going to order a new one as the linkage and everything looks and feels new, it all moves freely.
