It wasn't the power that fried them. It was a clipped signal from the amp that fried them. Thats a common problem with not matching the amp rms with the sub rms. People try and crank the amp above its proper settings which sends a clipped signal to the subwoofers. I like to have tpo much power so I can properly power my subs and keep the amp turned down so it doesn't work hard either.
