Shackles are safer way to go. Unless you have a street queen, then blocks are fine. Blocks in off roading, can flex through the U-bolts and fall out. But that fact your truck is also not stupid lifted or anything you are going to be fine with blocks. I personally would only run shackles, I can always reroute exhaust, or cut it off. But that's me!
